The Orlando Shakespeare Theater started small, with two Shakespearean productions in 1989. Since then, it has grown into a driving artistic force in Orlando, bringing multiple productions each year that feature a cast of professional actors from across the country.

Based in Florida in Orlando's Loch Haven Park, Orlando Shakespeare Theater offers a subscription series of six productions, a theater for Young Audiences Series that consists of three productions, and a 10-day festival of new plays, called The Harriett Lake Festival of New Plays.

The theater continues to grow, supported by a company of professional directors, designers and production and administrative staffs.
